RENFE - 490 SERIES (ALARIS)

PUBLIC ADRESS AND INTERCOM

This series incorporates a complete public address and intercom subsystem. This subsystem is composed of the following main elements:

- Central Rack: It incorporates the functions of analog and digital control; PA input, amplification and output; alarm audio; microphone audio; and displaing of the operating status of the equipment.
- Booster Rack: It incorporates the functions of input, amplification and public address output and displaying of the operating status of the equipment.
- Intercoms: They allow communication between Supervisor, Driver and Passengers.

Central Rack. In addition to the PA and Intercom functions, it also generates 4 channels of digital audio to seats.

Intercom equipment allows communication between Supervisor, Driver and Passengers. It also allows the Land-Train system to broadcast audio on the train.

The public address subsystem has Booster Racks that amplify and output the PA audio. In the car that has installed the Central Rack it's this rack what performs this function in the restaurant car.

  • DIGITAL AUDIO TO PASSENGERS

    This series has a stereo digital audio subsystem for passengers. It has 4 channels, with a resolution of 12 bits each. The module that generates and transmits these channels is in the Central Rack. Each seat has a receiver module that receives the 4 digital audio channels, and decodes them and sends them to the seat connection panel. Each seat has a connection and control panel to connect the headphones, and choose the audio channel. It has a volume control also. The digital audio generated by the Central Rack is distributed throughout the train. Its signal is amplified and distributed in each car.

    DIGITAL AUDIO AUTOMATED TEST

    A computer application that performs an automated test of the digital audio modules of the seats is available. It's possible to see the result of this test on the computer's screen, knowing which modules have some kind of problem.
